We are doing a Go Fund Me page to raise money for the Restoration Fund for our antique 1947 Mack fire Engine (Old E12)
Here is the link:
“Old Engine 12” served Elkridge and the surrounding communities from 1947 to 1976, some 29 years!
Elkridge Volunteer Fire Department has a 1947 antique Fire engine, which is in desperate need for a complete overhaul. This amazing part of History was in service in Elkridge, Maryland and provided support to surrounding areas from 1947-1976. Ever since 1976 Engine 12 has been out of service and we would love to bring it back to life. This historic Engine should be showing off its beauty in parades, teaching the youth about fire safety, and providing an honorable send off for our fallen members.
In order to treat Engine 12 as it should be treated. We need to do a complete restoration we have not had any work done to Engine 12 since its original build in 1947. The drive train, engine components, along with plenty of other mechanical overhaul. She needs a new paint job, and other body maintenance.
Plus we are still selling Challenge Coins
The price is only $20 each and all proceeds go to the Restoration
